Hello, I'm Claire 🦋
Welcome, and thank you for stopping by. I'm a qualified Reiki Master and the heart behind Blissful Balance, offering Reiki and sound healing from a peaceful cabin in my garden here in Caversham, for people, and the animals who share their lives.
Reiki found me at a time I needed it most, and sharing it with others is now my greatest joy. Here's a little of how I got here.
My Story
They say that reiki "finds you." I believe that to be true.
My journey began in the early 2000s, before you could Google anything and everything! A friend suggested Reiki to help with my ongoing stomach issues. I had no idea what to expect, but I was willing to try anything. I can honestly say it changed my life, not only physically but emotionally too.
“The body keeps the score”
I've come to believe that physical pain often holds emotion or trauma within it, and that Reiki helps shift that energy in a subtle way, so you can begin to heal from within. I completed my Reiki 1 attunement shortly after, so I could carry on that work within myself.
In the years that followed, four children blessed my life. I lost myself in the madness, chaos and beauty of motherhood, and somewhere along the way, a part of myself too. And then Reiki found me once again. ❤️
With our home now blessed with two dogs, an article on Reiki for animals caught my eye and lit something inside me. I found a wonderful Reiki master who gave me my attunement again, this time to include animals. The training took place in the idyllic setting of her farm, working with horses, dogs and humans. Once my case studies were complete, I was more than ready for my Reiki 2 attunement, and all the beauty that came with it.
After taking time to work on myself, my friends, my family and many pets, I felt drawn to complete my Reiki 3 master level. Since qualifying in 2023, I've been building a cabin in my garden — and now I'm truly blessed to have a beautiful, tranquil space in which to offer this subtle yet life-transforming energy, and to help others on their own journey.
